Halal is an Arabic term which means allowed, lawful, legal, or permissible under the Shariah (Islamic Law). This law is based on the Qur’an, Hadith (tradition of the Prophet Muhammad), Ijma (consensus), and Qiyas (deduction by analogy).
Halal food means food that is permitted under the Shariah (Islamic) Law. The qiyas approved by the relevant Islamic Authority also fulfills the following conditions:
 a. Does not contain any component or raw materials from animals that is not Halal.
b. Does not contain any ingredient that is considered haram or najis (fithy).
c. During is preparation, processing or manufacturing, the tolls or equipments used must not be     contaminated by the product with ingredients which are considered haram or najis.
Halal certification is a certificate of compliance of the religious requirement observed by all Muslims worldwide.  It is now accepted scientifically that a Halal certificate is a guarantee of genuineness, best quality, wholesomeness, cleanliness, and best fit for human consumption.
This decision of the Supreme Court of the Philippines in G.R. No. 153888 is the authentic recognition of the Government of the Philippines that IDCP is the duly recognized HALAL authority in the country.

When your product or establishment is certified Kosher, shoppers know that you comply with a strict policy of kosher food laws, including cleanliness, purity and quality.
But kosher means more than responsible food preparation. Kosher refers to a set of intricate biblical laws that detail the types of food that a Jewish person may eat and the ways in which it may be prepared.
To be certified Kosher, all ingredients in every product—and the process of preparing the product—must be certified for orthodox kosher-compliance too.

For companies involved in the manufacture, processing or transportation of food products, high hygienic standards are of paramount importance. The concept of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) is guided by established regulatory requirements for the food industry.
HACCP certifications aim to systematically identify any factors that might present a potential health risk to consumers, allowing you to avoid hygienic hazards or lower their risk to acceptable levels. The certification is based on the Codex Alimentarius, an international code of conduct for the industry.
The certification is relevant to all fields within the food industry, including suppliers such as detergent manufacturers, packaging producers, machine-building firms or chemical plants. Not only does the HACCP mark minimize potential hazards, it signals to your customers that your company is vested in the highest food-safety standards.
